Fir trees covered in snow, wide plains of glistening white, a pure winter wonderland. Numerous slopes and cross-country ski tracks, toboggan runs and skating rinks promise perfect winter fun in the biggest skiing area of Germany’s low mountain ranges.
Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding
You can choose from more than 170 ski-lifts, 250 kilometres of prepared slopes, 22 ski-jumps, free-ride and powder runs and more than 1700 kilometres of cross-county ski-tracks. With its variety of special offers, the Black Forest is also a winter paradise for snowboarders.
Winter-sports centre of Feldberg Mountain
The centre of the lift network consists of 14 ski-lifts and 16 ski-runs of all riding levels; from the easy family ski-run to the challenging FIS World Cup run. Feldberg Mountain offers everything for people who love Alpine Skiing.
Winter-sports resorts in the Black Forest
Here you can find an overview of the most important winter-sports resorts in the Black Forest. These places fulfil defined criteria like ski-lifts with a length of more than 700 metres or slope networks of at least 15 kilometres in length, as well as additional winter-sports offers like winter toboggan runs, ice skating or curling.
Cross-country ski-tracks
More than 1,700 kilometres of cross-country ski-tracks are prepared in the Black Forest. And if you don’t pack in enough skiing during the day, you can always use one of the numerous floodlighted tracks like the ones at Kniebis Mountain or Baiersbronn in the northern Black Forest. There are also additional tracks in the Ferienland region, which includes the communities of Schönwald, Schonach, St.Georgen, Triberg and Furtwangen in the east of the central Black Forest.

Take a deep breath of fresh winter air on prepared winter hiking trails - Glistening snow crystals, a white winter forest and the admirable mountains of the Black Forest make the traditional form of snowshoeing come alive again.
