Hiking in winter
Take a deep breath of fresh winter air on prepared winter hiking trails - Glistening snow crystals, a white winter forest and the admirable mountains of the Black Forest make the traditional form of snowshoeing come alive again. Snowshoeing is the most traditional way of locomotion in the winter landscape of the Black Forest and a welcome change for the whole family.
While wooden frames stringed with hides and sinews had to suffice the trappers in North America in earlier times, today’s snowshoes are made from modern materials and also have flexible bindings. Once you’re fixed to the snowshoes, off you go!
