Franciscan Museum - Villingen-Schwenningen

This Franciscan museum invites you to explore three thousand years of history:

- the Celtic tomb of the princes of Magdalenenburg. Burial chamber and site of the largest Celtic tomb in central Europe;
- Most important collection of folklore in the Black Forest;
- History of the city: from life in Villingen during the Middle Ages to the Industrial Age. The history of the area comes alive in particular on the grounds of the former monastery. The famous Villingen carneval figurines also have a permanent place in the museum.
