German clock museum - Furtwangen

From observing the sun‘s path to coordinated universal time, the exhibition at the German Clock Museum invites you to take a journey through the history of time.

The cuckoo clock is in fashion, and you can follow the tracks of this cult object everywhere in the Black Forest. Where did it actually originate? Why is the cuckoo bird in a mini house? All of this is covered by the largest clock collection in Germany. You‘ll discover time measurement tools from all periods leading up to the atomic clock. Your children will love our treasure hunts.
